I always used anti-perspirant deodorants, but wanted to try a roll-on to know which is more efficient. I was hesitant to buy a roll-on as a lot is said about them such as they cause cancer, but there is no such evidence of them being carcinogenic. So, I went ahead and bought this one.

My Experience with Adidas Fresh 24H Anti-Perspirant Roll On Deodorant:

I love the small cute bottle. It is easy to carry and has a dotted gripper on its sides. The product claims to be fast drying which is false as it does not dry fast. It takes a lot of time and sometimes I have to stand under the ceiling fan for it to dry. It has a lovely fresh and natural fragrance. It is a fragrance that will catch attention. The 24-hour protection is also false as it goes up to good 6-7 hours.

The most annoying part is that even after using this, I sweat and fear that the roll-on liquid will melt off my skin and stain my clothes :/ . Before this roll-on, I had used Nivea Whitening Antiperspirant Deodorant and I would never sweat with that, which I appreciated as sweat patches are a complete no-no. It does prevent sweat-causing odour, but I have to apply a good thick layer of the roll-on liquid. A thin layer does not do the job. The roll-on liquid consistency is just right, not too runny and not too thick.

What I Like about Adidas Fresh 24H Anti-Perspirant Roll On Deodorant:

Lovely fragrance.
Paraben free.
Alcohol free.
Travel-friendly bottle.
Prevents sweat odor.

What I Do Not Like about Adidas Fresh 24H Anti-Perspirant Roll On Deodorant:

Does not live up to its 24-hour protection claim.
Does not prevent sweating even though it is an antiperspirant.
Slightly melts when I sweat which keeps the area always moist and wet and not dry, personally, I want it to be dry.
Does not dry fast, takes a lot of time.
Personally, I find roll-on’s unhygienic as they come in contact with the skin again and again and the roller cannot be sterilised after every use.

Will I Purchase Adidas Fresh 24H Anti-Perspirant Roll On Deodorant Again?

No, I will not, I find deodorants better and hygienic. No more roll-ons for me, as I find it messy to use. Hope this review helps you guys.

Nivea Pearl and Beauty Anti-Perspirant Roll On

I pick up deodorants and roll-ons once in a while. Most of the deodorants come with high alcohol level that sting badly and that’s one reason to keep me away from deos. Another major reason is that I don’t use deodorants on a daily basis since I do not suffer from body odor. I don’t smell bad however hot or humid the day might be even without a deo or perfume :dance: But after reading so many reviews of Nivea I really could see myself liking the fragrance. I wanted to pick the deodorant, but when I saw that Nivea has a roll-on too, I opted for the latter. Here’s my review of the Nivea Pearl and Beauty Anti-Perspirant Roll On (err….later on, I realized that the label had “anti-perspirant” mentioned on the BACK). I should read labels before buying :headbang: :headbang:

My Take on Nivea Pearl and Beauty Anti-Perspirant Roll On:

The roll-on has the trademark “Nivea” fragrance, very mild, soothing, and pleasant. The scent is not at all “loud.” The milky white deodorant is in a liquid form and comes in a sturdy glass bottle with a plastic cap. The liquid is not at all sticky and does not sting on application. The deodorant applies wet, but then the “wet” feeling disappears within 30 seconds to 1 minute. With this deo on, I smell pleasant throughout the day. Even while I have been out throughout the most part of the day, I could feel the “mild lingering fragrance.” It might be because I don’t sweat that bad and don’t get white patches that helps the fragrance to stay a little bit long. For someone with a body odor problem, I don’t think this would suffice. Also, I haven’t tested it for 24 hours yet. For me, it works in two ways, it does not sting like alcohol-based deodorants and second is that I can wear it while I am at home too. I think this would be great for ladies with small babies around who are apprehensive about exposing their little ones to aerosols.

Carries the typical Nivea fragrance, which is very mild and soothing.
It does not sting like other alcohol-based deos.
It did not irritate my skin.
For someone like me, who does not suffer from body odor, this is perfect.
Mild fragrance lingers throughout the major part of the day.
Contains hydrolyzed pearl, I guess that might be good.
Comes at a good price.
It is an anti-perspirant deo.
It is not sticky and the “wet” feeling when you apply disappears within a short time.
Good option if you do not want to use an aerosol spray.

Cons of Nivea Pearl and Beauty Anti-Perspirant Roll On:

For people who perspire a lot, I don’t think this would be adequate.
The 24-hour protection I am not sure about.
If you want a much stronger fragrance or scent, this might not be for you.

Do I Recommend/Will I Repurchase Nivea Pearl and Beauty Anti-Perspirant Roll On?

Yes, I think, its a good product, but if you sweat excessively, you can give it a miss.

Adidas Natural Vitality Deodorant Spray

During the summers, we’re always on a hunt for the next best deodorant. I have been on deodorant shopping spree myself and today, I’m going to review one of my least favorite deodorant sprays. This one is from Adidas and is named “Natural Vitality.”

I recently purchased this spray from my nearby store in Mumbai since I needed a new deodorant; I tend to get bored of using the same body fragrances all the time. I have never really tried a fragrance from Adidas, so I picked this one on random from the Adidas deodorants.

This deo has a very mild fragrance. This might be suitable for women who like mild fragrances, but for me personally, I didn’t like it. It takes me forever to “build” the fragrance by spraying it in huge amounts. I prefer body sprays that don’t require them to be sprayed so much leading to wastage of product. Even after I had reached my desired level of fragrance, it took just half an hour for it to fade away. How disappointing! In just 2 weeks, I managed to almost empty the bottle.

This fragrance doesn’t stay on my skin for long, especially in humid weather conditions. However, it does reduce perspiration slightly. For some strange reason, it stays on my clothes longer than on my skin which I don’t really like.

The deo has a very strong fragrance of jasmine and lilies with slight lime base tones. I picked this fragrance on random and I don’t know why I expected it to be citrusy. When I first sprayed it, the top notes were super citrusy and I just bought it. After using it properly I realized it smells too much of jasmine and lilies. I really hate floral fragrances especially jasmine and I’m so glad this bottle is almost empty. The only reason I used it was because it reduced sweating slightly.

Top Notes: Lime, grapefruit and slight hint of jasmine.
Heart Notes: Jasmine and lilies
Base Notes: Musk, jasmine, lillies and a slight hint of lime.

Overall, I don’t really like this deo. If you are into mild floral fragrances and are ready to overlook the staying power, then you might like this product. For me personally, this one was a miss.

Pros of Adidas Natural Vitality Deodorant Spray:

Suitable for women who like extremely mild fragrance.
Smells citrusy at first and then turns out to be super floral! (sigh)
Reduces perspiration slightly.
Inexpensive.
Available in India.

Cons of Adidas Natural Vitality Deodorant Spray:

Doesn’t stay on the underarms for long. Staying power is horrible.
Women who like strong fragrances won’t like this. Personally, I like stronger fragrances in deodorants.
Stays longer on my clothes than on skin.
Not the perfect deodorant for humid areas like Mumbai.
I expected this to be super citrusy. It just smells like jasmine, sick :yuck:

Summers in Chennai are in full swing. Power cuts, midnight power failures and sweat, sweat and some more sweat, phew! All ladies who travel to work in Chennai by public transport, hats off to all of them. I would have probably melted in Chennai’s public transport and the heat and sweat and the bright sun early morning at 8 AM! With all this, I need to be totally equipped with proper roll ons, anti perspirants, EDT, perfumes and talcs and most important my 4 litres of mineral water! All this, even while I am indoors always.

After a long time, I have found a roll on anti perspirant, thanks to my sister. The roll one is mild, effective, gentle, and lasts for a long time. What more can I ask for? Summers in Chennai are so much different than the rest of India because they make you sweat buckets, the sweat glands which were inactive for my whole life have been active since I came to Chennai. There are always beads of sweat on the forehead, on everyone I meet in the society I stay in and still they smile and go about their chores.

I personally hate sweat, I hate it to the core. Sweaty underarms make me go diffident and I almost never leave home without an antiperspirant. Avon deodorants have not been working well for me and the recentDove Clinical is almost over. I am very happy to be using this light roll one which is true to all the claims it makes.

The roll on is mildly citrus in fragrance, dries fast, doesn’t leave white marks when transferred along with sweat onto clothes and does hold on to the antiperspirant claim for at least 12 hours even in the sweaty Chennai summers. I find it good to control sweat for at least 9 hours, which is good for me considering I go out for not more than that duration. For Chennai summers, you can cut down the 48 hours claims to half and still I am not disappointed with the claims.

It gives me effective deodorant coverage, I can find fresher underarms even 10 hours later, with nice citrus fragrance and lesser sweat by the end of the day. I honestly feel it will perform twice as well in air-conditioned offices. I quite like the packaging, the twist and click cap which ensures the cap will be intact in my handbag as well. The roll on is nicely sized to be carried around, you need something like this in Indian summers.

Last Word on Garnier Anti-White Marks Deodorant:

Paraben and alcohol free, nice, effective, mild citrus fragranced, anti-perspirant and roll on deodorants are hard to find. Unfortunately, this isn’t available yet in India. Overall, I am happy with the performance it gives me considering the very humid conditions I stay in.

This deo smells really nice, very much like roses but you only get a strong whiff of fragrance when you open the cap. Once you put it on, it doesn’t make you smell amazing for more than 5 minutes, but it is safe to say it doesn’t make you stink either.

IGP8181 Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth Wild Rose Anti Perspirant Deodorant

As for its anti-perspirant abilities, its only so-so. If you are an inactive person, it is probably just right for you, but if you are a slightly active person, it only lasts for about half of the day. By slightly active, I do not mean exercising, just more active than sitting at a desk all day.

It is solid pink in colour, though it goes not invisible when you put it on. Do not overdo it as it tends to layer and a thick film will go onto your skin. I have found that applying this as soon as you step out of the shower while your skin is damp is the best way to use it as it is very dry in texture and using it on dry skin will make it almost flaky.

As for its hair minimizing properties, I can say that my hair does feel softer but I don’t find it minimizing in its appearance, but maybe it’s because I have been using this for only a month now.
